The head was found in 1999, and for years, archaeologists believed it to be a horse. Now they're debating what animal is meant to be represented by the ancient carving, according to a press release from the University of Tübingen. In the press release, Nicholas Conard, a professor at the University, said there are two main theories: a cave lion or a cave bear. Conard himself believes that it's a cave bear — a prehistoric bear species that inhabited Europe — because the figurine's "pronounced bear hump" matches the height of its shoulders and appears to imitate a bear's gait. "It therefore makes sense to look extra carefully for the missing parts of this animal in the years to come."

Și atunci când un act normativ, care prezintă dorința deputaților, vine în contradicție, prioritate se dă voinței poporului și acest lucru este garantat de Constituție. Potrivit lectorului universitar, Constituția mai spune că Republica Moldova este un stat de drept – ceea ce înseamnă preeminența Constituției și a dreptului asupra interesului politic. Declarațiile au fost făcute la dezbaterea publică „Despre starea de urgență în țară și la Curtea Constituțională (CC): motive, actori, soluții”, organizate de Agenția de presă IPN. Alexandru Arsene a menționat că, CC nu are ce interveni în disputele politice.

Decizia finală va aparține UNESCO, însă această organizație nu se va pronunța înainte de toamna anului 2022. Ministerul menționat, al cărui sediu se află pe Rue de Valois din Paris, a confirmat pentru AFP o informație apărută inițial în Le Parisien, potrivit căruia ministrul francez al Culturii, Roselyne Bachelot, a ales bagheta dintre cele trei propuneri. Bagheta, simbol al vieții cotidiene a francezilor, imortalizată în numeroase filme și reclame, este un produs al cărui nume a apărut la începutul secolului al XX-lea la Paris. Aproape o sută de dosare din lumea întreagă obțin în fiecare an statutul de bun imaterial înscris în patrimoniul UNESCO. În cea de-a doua etapă, candidatul trebuie să fie considerat apt pentru a reprezenta Franța la UNESCO, în urma unui aviz consultativ al Comitetului pentru Patrimoniul Etnologic și Imaterial (CPEI).
